Junior Project Manager
Purpose of Role
The Junior Project Manager will support the delivery and coordination of projects from inception to completion. The role requires a motivated and organised individual who can work closely with clients, subcontractors and internal teams to help ensure project requirements, timelines and budgets are achieved. The ideal candidate will have a background or interest in construction management, strong communication skills and excellent attention to detail. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop project management experience while contributing to the success of the company and its projects.
* This role is based in London but supports multiple sites across the UK and a full, clean driver's licence is required*
Responsibilities of Role
- Support the Project Management team in the delivery of complex and high-value projects.
- Assist with project planning and day-to-day coordination to help ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
- Help communicate project objectives and requirements to project team members and subcontractors.
- Liaise with clients, contractors and internal staff to support effective communication and project delivery.
- Provide regular project updates and progress reports to senior team members and stakeholders.
- Assist in the preparation and tracking of project budgets and financial information.
- Support resource coordination, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.
- Ensure work is carried out in compliance with company standards, industry regulations, and Health & Safety legislation.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Assist in preparing reports on project status, performance metrics, and financial updates for management review.
Requirements
- Full, clean driver's licence and willingness to travel
- Previous experience in a project coordination, junior project management, or similar role within the construction or electrical industry is desirable
- Knowledge of lightning protection systems, earthing, or surge protection is highly desirable.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and industry standards.
- Strong organisational and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in relevant software applications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
- Fluency in English; proficiency in additional languages such as German Dutch, French, or Spanish would be advantageous but not required.
