Listing guidelines

What belongs here
One thing only: jobs someone can actually get as their first one. Junior, graduate, apprentice, trainee, placement and entry-level roles with an employer in the United Kingdom.
What we remove
Listings come to us under licence from a job data provider and are screened on the way in, then removed when flagged. We take down a posting that:
- Is not really entry-level. A “junior” title asking for five years, a senior role with a junior salary, or a listing that bundles a junior and a senior vacancy into one advert.
- Asks the candidate for money. Training fees, equipment deposits, admin charges, paid-for certifications required before starting. A first job should cost nothing to take.
- Appears to pay below the legal minimum, including unpaid “internships” doing work the National Minimum Wage would cover.
- Discriminates. Anything conditioned on age, sex, race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, pregnancy, or any other protected characteristic under the Equality Act 2010, save where the law genuinely allows it.
- Is commission-only, MLM, or a recruitment pyramid dressed as a salaried role.
- Is a ghost listing: a vacancy that does not exist, posted to gather CVs or advertise an agency rather than to hire someone.
- Is a scam or phishing attempt, or asks for bank details, identity documents or payment as part of applying.
- Is harassing, obscene, or hateful, or is unlawful in the United Kingdom.
What we will not pretend to know
We publish what a listing says and leave the rest blank. Where an employer gives no salary, no work arrangement and no degree requirement, you will see nothing in those places rather than a guess dressed as a fact. Absence on this board means the employer did not say. It does not mean the answer is no.
Reporting a listing
Email support@onlyjuniorjobs.co.uk with the link. Tell us what is wrong with it; you do not need to explain who you are. We read every report and act on the ones that hold up, usually within a working day.
We remove postings at our discretion and do not have to give a reason. Being removed from this board says nothing about the employer beyond our own judgement that the listing did not belong here.
Employers
Post a role that is genuinely open, state the pay, and say what the job actually involves. Listings that do those three things get applications from people who want the job, rather than from everyone.
When paid postings arrive, these guidelines will apply to them exactly as they apply to everything else. Paying to appear here will not buy an exemption from them, and a posting removed under these rules is not refundable on the grounds that it was paid for.
