About us
Speek Health is on a mission to address the teenage mental health epidemic by blending AI and clinical science to rethink how mental healthcare is delivered to families.
We are a group of high-impact, mission-driven clinicians, engineers and seasoned entrepreneurs, who have first-hand experience, both professional and personal, of caring for a loved one struggling with their mental health. Together, we're bringing a digital revolution to the family mental health space.
We are building the most effective way to break the cycle of teenage self-harm. Success to us means no family should suffer alone. We're a well-funded, seed-stage startup backed by NIHR and the UK's leading impact investors and family offices.
We're building a mighty team by empowering our clinicians and product experts with the autonomy, flexibility and resources to do their best work. We dream big and iterate fast. If that sounds like home, we'd love to hear from you.
The role
We're looking for an organised, hands-on Product Delivery Manager to keep our live product running smoothly as our NHS contracts scale from hundreds to over a thousand families this year.
You'll sit at the centre of our clinical, operations and engineering teams. You'll be the single front door for anything going wrong or getting in the way of the live product, and the person who turns what we learn day to day into clear, prioritised input for the product roadmap.
It's a great fit for someone early in their product career who loves order, loves fixing things and wants to grow inside a mission-driven health tech startup.
What the role involves
- Live product health: Monitor how the product is performing across our NHS contracts and self-registered families. Find where families get stuck or drop off (for example, signing their therapy agreement) and drive the fix, rather than letting manual workarounds become a habit.
- Issue triage and intake: Be the single front door for product issues raised by our clinical team and NHS partners. Reproduce, prioritise and package issues clearly for engineering, protecting their focus. Work closely with our engineers on first-line user queries.
- Release coordination: Plan, track and communicate fixes and improvements to the live product. Keep everyone informed of what's changed, write simple release notes and support iOS and Android app store submissions.
- Sprint planning and backlog: Run sprint planning with our engineering team, and own a clean, prioritised backlog. Balance live-product fixes against planned roadmap work, track progress through each sprint, keep stakeholders updated on what will land when, and run short retrospectives so the team keeps improving how it works.
- Lifecycle messaging: Set up, maintain and improve onboarding and engagement journeys in Customer.io and similar tools, so the right family gets the right message at the right time.
- Content operations: Make sure content changes requested by clinicians are captured, checked and published correctly in the product.
- Metrics and reporting: Track engagement, retention and completion using Metabase and PostHog. Pull the data our NHS partners need for contract reporting, and flag trends early.
- Contract mobilisation: Work with our Partnerships Manager and clinical team to get new NHS contracts set up in the product on time: configuration, referral routes, onboarding materials and partner-specific needs.
- Compliance upkeep: Keep our product compliance documentation current as the live product changes (e.g. DTAC, DSPT, Cyber Essentials, DPIAs, clinical safety hazard logs), working with our DPO and Clinical Safety Officer.
- Feedback loop: Run a regular session (every month or two) where the people running the service and the people building new products share what they're seeing. Turn day-to-day learnings into clear, evidenced input for the product roadmap.
- Light discovery: Run quick investigations into why something isn't working (a short survey, a few calls, a look at the data) and partner with our UX Research Lead when deeper research is needed.
What we're looking for
You must:
- Have 2–4 years' experience in product operations, product management, delivery or project management in a digital product company
- Have worked in a regulated or high-trust environment such as health tech, fintech, legal tech or the public sector, and be comfortable working within guardrails
- Be exceptionally organised: you can juggle many small, live issues at once, keep track of all of them and close them out
- Be comfortable with data: you can build a dashboard, read a funnel and answer your own questions in tools like Metabase or PostHog
- Using AI tools (like Claude Skills) to automate repetitive operational work
- Communicate clearly with very different people, translating between clinicians, user researcher, engineers and NHS partners without losing detail
- Write issues, updates and documentation that others can act on straight away
- Stay calm and kind under pressure, especially when things are urgent and the users are vulnerable families
- Take ownership and be happy to step outside a defined role to get things done
- Value feedback, and talk openly about what went well and what didn't
- Have a genuine passion for improving young people's mental health
Bonus points, but not necessary:
- Hands-on experience with Customer.io, Brevo or similar lifecycle tools
- iOS and Android app store submission experience
- Basic SQL
- Past experience in an early-stage startup
What we offer
Annual salary of £42,000 - £48,000, depending on experience
Flexible remote working alongside two in-person days a week
Lots of opportunity to grow in a start-up
Work that creates a meaningful impact in the world!
