Blossoming Futures Behaviour Consultancy provides evidence-based Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) support to autistic children and young people across West & South Yorkshire.

We deliver individualised, child-centred programmes focused on communication, behaviour, independence, play skills, emotional regulation and daily living skills.

The Role

We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Behaviour Therapist to work 1:1 with autistic children in home and/or school settings.

This is a practical, hands-on role implementing programmes designed by a BCBA (Board Certified Behaviour Analyst).

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality therapy sessions, collecting data and working closely with families and supervisors.

This role is suitable for:

  • Individuals looking to enter the field of ABA
  • Psychology graduates
  • Education or SEN support staff
  • Experienced ABA therapists seeking additional hours

Full training is provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver 1:1 ABA sessions as outlined in the child’s programme
  • Implement skill acquisition programmes (e.g. communication, play, daily living skills)
  • Follow behaviour support plans with consistency and professionalism
  • Collect accurate session data
  • Attend supervision and training sessions
  • Communicate professionally with families and schools
  • Maintain clear session notes and submit required documentation

Pay

£13.00 per hour (no prior experience required – full training provided).

Employment Structure

This is a self-employed contractor position. You will deliver sessions allocated to you and invoice monthly for completed hours. This arrangement provides flexibility and autonomy. Guidance on registering as self-employed will be provided

Essential Requirements

  • A genuine interest in supporting autistic children
  • Calm, patient and professional manner
  • Reliable and punctual
  • Willingness to learn and accept feedback
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Access to transport (preferred due to travel between clients)

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Psychology degree or studying towards one
  • Experience working with children or young people
  • SEN experience
  • RBT qualification
  • Experience with ABA

Hours

Part-time hours available with potential to increase. Weekend and evening sessions may be available.
