Job Title: Junior Temporary Works / Structural Engineer

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 + Travel Opportunities & Benefits

Location: Westhey Manor Barns, Barton-le-Clay, Shillington, MK45 4RB

The Role

Join a fast-paced team designing complex temporary structures (events, access, weather protection) for a worldwide client. This is a fast-growth position for a highly self-motivated engineer eager to rapidly expand their capabilities, travel internationally, and build innovative internal engineering tools.

Key Requirements

  • Education & Goals: Bachelor’s in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering, and actively working towards Chartership/Incorporation (e.g., ICE, IStructE, IMechE).
  • Industry Standards: Solid working knowledge of BS 5975, TG20, TG9, and Eurocodes.
  • Drafting & Analysis: Proficient in AutoCAD, 3D design (Revit, SketchUp, Blender), and structural analysis software (e.g., SkyCiv, STAAD.Pro).
  • Structural Mechanics: Strong grasp of beam-column frame analysis, including a deep understanding of the underlying mathematical matrix operations.
  • Programming Interest: Eagerness to learn and write code—specifically Rust (rust-lang) or Python—to develop and automate internal structural analysis tools.
  • Driven Mentality: Proactive, fast learner looking for hands-on responsibility.
