Junior Sous Chef
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our vibrant culinary team. In this role, you will support the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences by overseeing food preparation, ensuring high standards of quality, and maintaining a lively, efficient kitchen environment. Your energy and leadership will inspire the team to excel in a fast-paced hospitality setting, fostering teamwork and culinary excellence every day.
Duties
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and timely food service
- Supervise food production and preparation, maintaining consistency and presentation standards
- Support food safety protocols by adhering to hygiene regulations and proper storage procedures
- Lead by example in cooking techniques, ingredient handling, and plating to motivate the team
- Coordinate with team members to ensure efficient service during busy hours
- Contribute to menu development and special dish creation alongside senior chefs
- Oversee kitchen cleanliness, organization, and equipment maintenance to uphold safety standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in a professional kitchen environment with a strong foundation in food preparation and cooking
- Supervising experience or prior leadership roles within a culinary setting
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality kitchens
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide staff effectively
- Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, food production processes, and restaurant operations
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality
- Passion for hospitality, serving guests, and creating memorable dining experiences
