Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Sous Chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and a commitment to delivering high-quality food in a fast-paced environment. As the Sous Chef, you will assist the Head Chef in managing kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and supervising kitchen staff to maintain an efficient workflow. Responsibilities

  • Assist the Head Chef in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation and production.
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring they adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Help create innovative menus that reflect seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
  • Maintain inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
  • Ensure all dishes are prepared to the highest quality standards and presented beautifully.
  • Monitor kitchen performance, providing feedback and support to team members.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service during busy periods.
  • Uphold a clean and organised kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a CDB orjunior Sous Chef or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on food preparation and production techniques.
  • Experience in team management, with the ability to motivate and lead kitchen staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • A passion for cooking and creativity in menu development is highly desirable.
