Responsibilities
- Assist in supervising kitchen staff, ensuring smooth daily operations and high standards of food preparation and presentation
- Support food production activities by preparing ingredients, cooking dishes, and maintaining consistency across menu items
- Lead by example in food safety practices, ensuring compliance with hygiene regulations and proper storage procedures
- Manage food preparation tasks efficiently during service hours to meet quality and timing expectations
- Oversee team management responsibilities including training, mentoring, and motivating kitchen staff to foster a collaborative environment
- Collaborate with the head chef on menu development, special event planning, and inventory control
- Serve as a key point of contact for kitchen operations, resolving issues promptly to maintain seamless service flow
Skills
- Proven supervising experience in a fast-paced culinary or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food production, cooking techniques, and kitchen experience
- Excellent team management skills with the ability to lead and motivate staff effectively
- Deep understanding of food safety standards and hygiene regulations
- Exceptional culinary skills with an eye for detail in food preparation and presentation
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and front-of-house staff

Pay: Up to £38,420.00 per year
Licence/Certification:
- Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (required)
