Junior Sous Chef

The Salusbury – Queen’s Park, London

The Salusbury is a recently refurbished pub, bar and dining room in Queen’s Park, led by Chef Tarryn Bingle, whose experience includes Arbutus, La Trompette and The Pem.

We serve modern British and European food, driven by seasonality, exceptional ingredients and great suppliers. We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our friendly kitchen team and help drive the kitchen forward.

We want a real cook who enjoys producing great food from the ground up, with an interest in everything from in-house butchery and stocks to seasonal preparation and cultured butter. Experience in a similar kitchen is preferred, but we are also open to a strong Chef de Partie ready to take the next step.

Passion, attitude and work ethic are just as important to us as experience.

The role

• Run your section to a consistently high standard
• Prepare and cook dishes to our specifications
• Support the Head Chef and Sous Chef during service
• Help lead and motivate the kitchen team
• Maintain high standards of food, hygiene and organisation
• Ensure mise en place is completed to a high standard
• Step up and take responsibility for the kitchen when required
