Duties

• Support the Head Chef in supervising kitchen operations and maintaining smooth workflow during service hours
• Assist in food preparation, cooking, and plating to ensure dishes meet quality standards and presentation guidelines
• Manage food production processes, including ingredient handling, portion control, and adherence to recipes
• Supervise and motivate kitchen staff, fostering teamwork and a positive work environment
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards across the kitchen
• Oversee inventory management, including stock rotation, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste
• Serve as a key member of staff during busy service periods, stepping in to coordinate tasks and support team members as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and kitchen operations within a hospitality or restaurant environment
• Supervising experience with team management skills to lead by example and motivate staff effectively
• Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and sanitation standards
• Demonstrated ability to manage food production processes efficiently under pressure
• Excellent communication skills with a passion for delivering outstanding guest service
• Previous restaurant experience with a focus on culinary excellence and hospitality service
• Qualities that inspire teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement
