Junior Sommelier & front of house

FRONT OF HOUSE POSITION FOR WINE ENTHUSIAST - Combining retail, hospitality in a dynamic & product-focused environment.

40 hours weekly - any overtime is paid

Authentique - Epicerie & Bar is a shop, bar and restaurant opened by 3 young French friends in 2018 focusing on French products. We offer over 1000 different wines and 500 food items in our shop and bar. We emphasize on small artisan products and their story, with a real mission to educate and share with our customers.

Your role will include interacting with customers, recommending wines from our extensive list and providing a quality service, be it in the shop or on the restaurant floor.

Typical daily operations will include, although not limited to.

• Table service & customer service (restaurant & shop)

• Product merchandising (working on eye catching displays)

• Tasting events

• Aiding in product sourcing

We’re expecting from you:

• 2+ years of experience in hospitality/retail

• Wine Knowledge is a + (Recognised qualifications & French wine expertise preferred)

• Ensuring comfort, safety and enjoyment of all guests in a different hospitality environment

• To compliment a creative and lively working space

• Thrive on guest interaction.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
