Junior Software Developer

About us
Freshview Estates is a growing London property business. We manage homes for councils and private tenants, and we’re bringing technology in-house. We want to use AI and automation to cut out repetitive admin, speed up how we let and manage properties, and give councils better information. You’ll be part of building that from the start.

The role
You’ll join us as a junior developer, working with our technical lead and our operations team. You’ll learn fast, see your work used every day, and help shape how a property business uses AI.

You’ll help to:

• build and improve our in-house property and placement management system;
• automate everyday tasks: emails, text reminders, document generation (leases, reports), and certificate and renewal alerts;
• use AI tools to read and summarise documents, draft messages and pull out key information;
• connect our systems (email, spreadsheets, accounting, messaging) so information flows without retyping;
• create simple dashboards and reports for our team and for councils;
• talk to staff to understand what slows them down, then build tools to fix it.

What we’re looking for

• Some experience building websites or apps, through a degree, a bootcamp, personal projects or a first job.
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript or TypeScript. React or Python is a plus.
• An interest in AI and automation tools (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make) and ideas for using them.
• Curious, organised and happy to learn. You ask questions and get things finished.
• Able to explain technical things in plain English to non-technical colleagues.

• Experience with databases
• Any work with APIs or automation platforms
• An interest in property or housing

Pay: £25,420.00-£51,020.00 per year
