Overview

Light Commercial Vehicles | Independent Dealer | Full-Time

Are you hungry for success, passionate about sales and ready to build a career in the motor trade?

We are a growing, ambitious independent light commercial vehicle dealer with an on-site mechanical preparation centre, looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Sales Executive to join our team.

Working directly with the Sales Director and alongside an experienced Senior Sales Executive, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the business, with a primary focus on selling vans and delivering an excellent customer experience from the first enquiry through to vehicle collection.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone with previous sales experience who wants to develop their skills, take ownership of opportunities and grow with a business that has ambitious plans for the future.

The Role & Responsibilities

Your main responsibility will be generating sales and converting opportunities, but this is a hands-on role where no two days are necessarily the same.

Duties will include:

  • Vehicle sales: Managing customer enquiries, qualifying leads, following up prospects and progressing sales opportunities through to completion.
  • Lead management: Recording all enquiries, communications and follow-up activity accurately within our internal CRM system.
  • Advertising & photography: Creating engaging vehicle adverts, taking quality photographs and ensuring our stock is presented professionally across advertising platforms.
  • Vehicle movements: Driving vehicles to suppliers and third parties, including MOT stations, where required.
  • Site presentation: Keeping the sales pitch, vehicles and surrounding areas clean, tidy, organised and ready for customers.
  • Customer experience: Providing a professional, transparent and straightforward buying experience, building trust and maintaining communication throughout the sales process.
  • Team support: Assisting with vehicle preparation coordination and other tasks around the site as directed by management.

The Person We're Looking For

We are looking for someone with a genuine hunger for sales and the drive to make the most of every opportunity.

You'll ideally have:

  • Previous sales experience, preferably within a motor dealership, although this is not essential.
  • A confident, professional and approachable manner when dealing with customers.
  • A proactive attitude towards generating business, following up leads and closing sales.
  • Good organisation skills and the ability to maintain accurate CRM records.
  • A willingness to learn, take feedback on board and develop your sales ability.
  • A practical, hands-on attitude and a willingness to get stuck in wherever needed.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a small, ambitious team.
  • A full, clean valid UK driving licence.

Most importantly, we want someone who takes pride in their work, understands the importance of excellent customer service and is motivated to achieve results.

Working Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00am–5:30pm, with some flexibility.
  • Saturday mornings: Approximately two per month, by appointment only, to accommodate customer viewings or vehicle collections when required.

What's on Offer?

  • Basic salary plus commission, rewarding performance and sales success.
  • Company mobile phone.
  • The opportunity to work closely with the Sales Director and an experienced Senior Sales Executive.
  • Hands-on training, guidance and the opportunity to develop your sales skills.
  • Genuine opportunities for career progression as the business grows.
  • The chance to make a real contribution to a growing, ambitious independent business.
