Junior Sales Designer

At Elysee Kitchens & Interiors we design and create bespoke high end kitchens, bedrooms, bathrooms and other elements of bespoke cabinetry that bring together beauty, function and innovation for discerning clients. Our boutique showroom in Sunninghill showcases carefully selected materials, appliances and design solutions, with each project tailored to reflect the individuality of our clients.
Position Summary:
This is an entry level role for someone with a genuine passion for design and a desire to build a career in sales within the KBB industry. Working alongside our Senior Sales Designers you will support the design and sales process from first enquiry through to signed agreement, learning how to translate client requirements into compelling, high quality design solutions that are both visually impactful and commercially sound. Full training will be provided. For the first year or so your work will be in support of the senior team rather than leading your own client meetings, with the aim of progressing to running your own consultations once you have completed training and built the necessary product, software and sales knowledge.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcoming showroom visitors, taking initial enquiry details and arranging appointments for the senior team
- Sitting in on client consultations with Senior Sales Designers, taking notes and preparing follow up information
- Producing kitchen and cabinetry layouts, visuals and quotations in Compusoft Winner under guidance
- Assisting with the preparation and presentation of design proposals to clients in the showroom
- Assisting on site with surveys and measurements alongside the senior team
- Liaising with the creative designer, suppliers and installers to check designs are technically and commercially viable
- Maintaining accurate records of enquiries, design revisions, approvals and client communications on our systems
- Helping keep the showroom, displays and sample library presented to a high standard
- Learning our product ranges, appliance brands and pricing so you can advise clients with confidence
Qualifications & Experience:
- A qualification in interior, product or spatial design, or equivalent practical experience, is desirable
- Some experience in a customer facing or sales environment
- A keen eye for design and an interest in materials, finishes and appliances
- Basic familiarity with CAD or kitchen planning software such as Compusoft Winner or SketchUp is advantageous; full training is provided
- Confident, friendly communicator who is comfortable talking with clients and building rapport
- Good attention to detail when working with plans, measurements and technical information
- Organised, willing to learn and able to work as part of a small, fast paced team
- Full, valid driver's licence required
