Junior Purchasing Assisstant

Job Overview

Support the purchasing team by helping source, order and track goods. This junior role offers practical exposure to procurement, logistics and supply chain processes, with guidance from experienced colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sourcing and purchasing mechanical and electrical materials, equipment and supplies.
• Obtain and compare supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing.
• Ensure all purchase orders are accurately recorded on the relevant purchasing and finance logs.
• Check material requirements against requests received from project managers, site managers and engineers.
• Ensure orders are placed with sufficient notice to meet project deadlines.
• Monitor outstanding orders and chase suppliers for updates on delivery dates.

Skills and Experience

• Strong organisation, attention to detail and clear communication.
• Interest in purchasing within construction industry
• Basic negotiation skills are an advantage, but willingness to learn is valued.

Pay: £25,420.00-£35,000.00 per year
