PCE Automation is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office in Beccles. This role involves supporting the successful delivery of innovative automation projects across our business, coordinating project activities, maintaining key documentation, tracking progress, and working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Junior Project Manager to join our Project Management Office, reporting directly to the Head of Projects. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a varied and rewarding role, supporting the efficient delivery of innovative projects across all PCE Automation sites. You will play a key role in driving project progress by coordinating documentation, monitoring milestones, supporting project reporting, and helping to implement strategies that contribute to the continued success of the business. Working closely with Project Managers and stakeholders across the organisation, you will gain exposure to a wide range of engineering and automation projects while developing your project management skills within a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support Project Managers in maintaining and organising project documentation, schedules, and reports.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  • Chair project meetings when required and ensure objectives and actions are clearly understood.
  • Schedule project meetings and training sessions across the business.
  • Act as a point of contact for project-related queries and escalate issues where appropriate.
  • Monitor and update project progress using Monday.com.
  • Support the creation and maintenance of dashboards, Traffic Light Reports (TLRs), and status updates.
  • Assist with the implementation of project strategies and policies across PCE sites.
  • Collaborate with project teams to improve processes and adopt best practices.
  • Support the management of project risks, issues, budgets, costs, and cashflow.
  • Work with the Planning department and Project Managers to support resource allocation and scheduling.

What We're Looking For

  • Strong organisational and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive and professional approach to problem-solving.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience using or the ability to learn systems such as Monday.com and SharePoint.
  • An understanding of project management methodologies such as Agile, PRINCE2, or APM.
  • The ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • A commitment to high standards of organisation, quality, and professionalism.

Desirable:

  • APM Project Fundamentals Qualification (PFQ) or equivalent certification.
  • Previous experience in a project coordination, PMO support, or junior project management role.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and the ability to interpret engineering drawings.
