Role Purpose

Be part of our Global award-winning team!

We are looking for a dynamic, personable and enthusiastic Junior Project Manager (who wants to progress into a Project Manager role) or a Project Manager who wants to move into tax technology, to join our growing company (located in Bognor Regis), in an industry that is going through a technological revolution. Working alongside our Operations Director and Development Team Lead, your position will be to work with our established Development team(s) delivering multiple interesting and challenging Tax Technology projects in accordance with company requirements, on time and within budget. Your initial focus will be working with the Operations Director and Development Team Lead to implement our bespoke project management methodology which reflects Agile PM philosophies and approaches, using our bespoke Company Apps.

Some previous technical/development project experience is preferred, with a background of undertaking roles where attention to detail and organisation are key. You will have a curious mind and a desire to continuously improve what we (and you) do - we want you to ask questions and be comfortable with learning from mistakes and have a ‘can-do’ outlook.

Role Overview

  • Following our Agile project management methodology, work with key Developers / Tech team(s) to ensure we are developing what has been agreed, to the required standards and on time. This includes the periodic (e.g. monthly) releases.
  • Identifying and resolving (or escalating) any Risks, Issues or Blockers to successful delivery. This includes arranging meetings with key people in the business as part of mitigation or unblocking blockers, and ensuring agreed actions or activities are undertaken.
  • Documenting escalated product bugs and new feature requests in our Ticketing system, and assigning Tickets to the appropriate project timebox and/or Developer (e.g. for urgent fixes). Ensuring that Tickets are closed correctly after a development phase (or timebox) is complete.
  • Working with various teams to ensure User Stories are created for testing (or create them yourself); arrange and oversee functional testing (stepping in to test if required); and be the bridge between Development and Commercial for new Products or new Product features.
  • Working with our Commercial team on product sales, demos, pricing, etc, brokering in others where required.
  • Ensuring that Development / Technical project meetings are recorded (using AI) ; sanitised and saved centrally in our Apps; and shared with key stakeholders post meeting. Following up on Actions as needed.
  • Heading up communication with the business (and if required, clients) relating to releases and deployments.
  • Heading up the onboarding of new clients onto our Products, effectively delegating activities where appropriate.
  • Central contact for Product/ Development and Technical team enquiries (internally), directing people to the most appropriate person for enquiries and requests for development/IT fixes or enhancements
  • General project coordination and administration, and other project related tasks, as required by the tech/dev team(s)

Skills & Attributes

  • Highly organised, with great attention to detail and time management skills, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively and multitask as required
  • Good documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, collaborating between clients, the project team and the sales team
  • Ability to manage stakeholders’ expectations; we believe in under-promising and over-delivering and not over-promising and under-delivering
