Junior Project Manager – Digital & eCommerce
Location: Chertsey, Surrey – Hybrid
Rate: £170–£200 per day
Contract: 12 months
Working arrangement: Flexible hybrid working, up to 3 days per week in the office
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
The Role
We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to join a large international organisation, supporting the successful delivery of digital and eCommerce projects across its European operations.
You will take ownership of project delivery across both internally managed and partner-led initiatives, ensuring projects are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets.
The role involves working with multiple internal stakeholders and third-party partners, so strong communication, organisation and stakeholder management skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and review a portfolio of internally delivered and partner-led projects.
- Coordinate with internal business teams and external delivery partners throughout the project lifecycle.
- Proactively review project progress, identifying potential risks, issues and dependencies before they impact delivery.
- Support and implement quarterly business reviews with key partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered in line with agreed contractual requirements and governance standards.
- Support resource planning and identify key resource requirements across projects.
- Work alongside the wider PMO team to continuously improve project delivery processes, methodologies and documentation.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers.
- Manage and prioritise workloads across multiple concurrent projects.
Skills & Experience
We are looking for someone with:
- 2+ years' experience within an eCommerce, retail or digital environment.
- Project management experience within a fast-paced organisation.
- Experience working with Agile methodologies, including Sprints and MVP-led product delivery.
- Exposure to change management and vendor or supplier management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, negotiation and influencing skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional and distributed teams.
- The ability to identify and proactively manage project risks and dependencies.
- Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
- The ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- A genuine interest in digital and eCommerce.
- Degree-level education or equivalent experience.
Experience using project management tools such as JIRA would be beneficial.
Desirable Experience
- Experience managing third-party vendors or delivery partners.
- Experience within managed services or development projects.
- Knowledge of quality management or project governance frameworks.
- Experience working within a large international or multinational organisation.
- Experience working across European markets.
- Additional European language skills.
What Success Looks Like
You will take a proactive approach to project management rather than simply responding to issues as they arise.
You will ensure projects are well governed, risks and dependencies are identified early, contractual requirements are understood and followed, and strong relationships are maintained with both internal teams and external delivery partners.
This is a great opportunity for a Junior Project Manager looking to develop their experience within a large-scale digital and eCommerce environment.
