Junior Operations Manager - Outpatients Transformation

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the Operations Team as a Junior Operations Manager for our Outpatients Transformation Programme.

This would be an excellent opportunity for someone wishing to progress their career within the NHS. You will be working with a wide range of stakeholders including the Associate Director of Operations, Operational Support Managers, Administrative teams, Clinicians, the EPR Programme team and external third party stakeholders. Reporting to the Outpatients Transformation Clinical Service Support Manager(CSSM), the post holder will work to operationally support the delivery of national Outpatient targets and provide administrative support to the wider division.

Good communication skills and being able to work with all levels of staff are crucial with the ability to remain calm under pressure to meet deadlines. The candidate will be pivotal in leading the continual development of an efficient, effective, and high quality patient focused service, driving operational performance.

Support the implementation and optimisation of the Trust’s Outpatients Transformation Programme including:

PIFU-first, pathways and increased PIFU uptake.

Follow-up reduction initiatives aligned with national outpatient recovery priorities.

Ne w referral management systems, including redesign of triage, booking and access processes.

Digital referral opti misation, including eRS improvements and integration with EPR.

Review of AVT functionality to support clinic letter turnaround.

To provide administration support and cover to the Outpatient Transformation (CSSM) as appropriate.

Organise and/or liaise with relevant stakeholders to co-ordinate and min ute-t ake meetings and workshops, including diary coordination, agenda preparation and document circulation .

Accurately record formal minutes, clearly captu ring deci sions, actions, risks and next steps.

Maintain action logs, risks and issues registers, ensuring updates are tracked and communicated.

The post holder will be expected to support the wider division as directed by his/her line manager. This may include :

Supporting with filling lists for appointments.

Supporting PAS-related enquiries that may arise day to day.

Supporting with managing short notice fill rates to improve outpatients utilisation.

The post holder may be asked to support in other areas commensurate with banding and as directed by line manager.
