Junior Merchandiser

This is a permanent full-time office-based role in Frognall, Lincolnshire.

Working hours are 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday and salary is £32,000 - £35,000, dependent on experience

We are seeking a confident, motivated and detail-orientated Junior Merchandiser to support the Head of Product and the wider commercial team in planning, development and execution of product ranges that meet customer and business requirements.

You will need to;

• Manage selected product categories and stock levels to maximise sales opportunties while minimising out of stock and over stock situations
• Manage the ordering and shipment process to ensure stock intake is delivered efficiently into the business
• To take ownership of merchandising activities, reporting and customer relationships while continuing to develop merchandising knoweldge and commercial awareness
• Work collaboratively with customers, suppliers and internal teams to provide seamless merchandising support across products and order

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in an assistant merchandising or merchandising role, ideally within furniture or homewares
• Strong numeracy and analytical skills, comfortable working with spreadsheets and large data sets
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in handling product data and documentation
• Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with confidence to deal with suppliers and internal stakeholders
• Strong organisational skills, able to manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, with the ability to learn internal systems quickly
• Commercial awareness and interest in product and trends
• Understanding of merchandising concepts including range planning, WSSI, sales performance metrics and stock/intake planning

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

• Experience working directly with suppliers or freight forwarders
• Understanding of basic financial planning/accounting metrics and buying principles
