Reports to: Merchandising Trading Manager

Our client is a successful fast-paced, trend-led fashion brand selling globally with a strong presence across digital and social channels.

They are now looking to recruit an experienced Junior Merchandiser to join the team in Manchester and play an important role in supporting their merchandising function across product, stock and trading.

The Role

As a Junior Merchandiser, you will support the wider merchandising team in maximising sales, managing stock and ensuring the right product is available at the right time and in the right quantities.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build their career within a high-growth, fast-fashion environment. You will work closely with Design, Buying, Production, E-commerce and Marketing teams, gaining exposure to the full product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Merchandiser and wider team with day-to-day trading and merchandising activities.

Analyse weekly sales, stock and product performance to identify key trends and opportunities.

Assist with weekly and monthly trading reports and performance analysis.

Monitor sales, stock levels, intake and sell-through across relevant product categories.

Help identify best sellers, slow sellers and opportunities to maximise sales.

Support stock management, including replenishment and allocation of product.

Assist with forecasting future sales and stock requirements.

Monitor intake and delivery schedules, highlighting any potential risks or delays.

Support the team with range reviews, product launches and seasonal planning.

Work closely with Buying and Design teams to understand product performance and commercial opportunities.

Liaise with internal teams to ensure product is available online and in line with launch plans.

Assist with markdowns, promotions and end-of-season stock management.

Maintain accurate merchandising reports, systems and data.

Contribute to a fast-paced trading environment by reacting quickly to changes in customer demand and market trends.

Carry out ad-hoc analysis and reporting as required.

About You

We are looking for someone who is commercially minded, analytical and highly organised, with a genuine passion for fashion and an interest in how products perform commercially.

Experience required

Previous experience within fashion merchandising, online retail or a commercial environment.

Strong numerical and analytical skills.

Excellent Excel skills and confidence working with large sets of data.

A strong commercial awareness and understanding of sales and stock performance.

A keen interest in fashion, trends and the fast-fashion market.

Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

Strong organisational and time-management skills.

The ability to prioritise and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication skills and the confidence to work cross-functionally.

A proactive, hands-on approach with a willingness to learn.

The ability to work comfortably under pressure and react quickly to changing priorities.
