Junior Gardener

Job Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic Junior Gardener to join our team. As a Junior Gardener, you will be responsible for helping to maintain and enhance the appearance of our customers gardens and landscapes. This is a hands-on position that requires knowledge of various gardening techniques and tools.

No experience or knowledge needed as lots of training will be given. This would suit a school/college leaver looking to get into an outdoor career. For the right candidate there may be formal training given with a college course.

This role is for a minimum of 3 days a week at present (usually up to 5 days can be available if wanted)

Pay will be in line with age requirements for the successful candidate.

Duties:

• Perform regular garden maintenance tasks such as watering, weeding, and pruning
• Help Plant and cultivate flowers, shrubs, trees, and other plants
• Monitor plant health and identify any pests or diseases
• Maintain lawns by mowing, edging
• Use power tools and hand tools to maintain garden equipment
• Assist with landscape maintenance projects such as mulching and installing irrigation systems
• Ensure that all garden areas are clean and free from debris

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in gardening or groundskeeping helpful but not needed
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in gardening would be helpful but not needed
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Physical stamina to perform manual labor in various weather conditions

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
