Junior Footwear Technologist

We have an amazing opportunity for a full-time Junior Footwear Technologist to join our Footwear team and support the technical development, quality, fit, testing, and compliance of our footwear range. This role will help ensure products are delivered safely, sustainably, and in line with the critical path.
Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing testing and collate compliance documents required for import in line with the critical path
- Working with suppliers and 3rd parties to collate and review AQL reports.
- Providing technical support and reviewing technical audits to onboarding new suppliers / factories if required.
- Fitting and dictating fit comments in fit meetings and following through with suppliers to ensure clear, accurate communication.
- Working on seasonal product risk assessments and supporting product development resolutions.
- Supporting innovation in product, performance, and sustainability through benchmarking and technical research.
- Working as part of the Footwear team, advice on technical and sustainable suitability of materials, construction, and fit.
- Reviewing returns data to identify patterns and agreeing corrective action plans is supplier to make continued improvement
- Building strong supplier relationships to support quality, fit, and continuous improvement.
We would like to meet someone who is
- Experience in a junior footwear technologist role.
- Knowledge of technical footwear and performance would be an advantage
- A good understanding of footwear construction, make, and fit requirements is needed.
- Experience in reviewing testing.
- Good data management reporting skills.
- Experience of working with offshore suppliers.
- Good influencing, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Team player capable of working under pressure to deadlines.
- Organised, methodical with great attention to detail.
