Join a global space technology leader – Junior Firmware Engineer, Farnborough

A leading space technology company is developing advanced satellite communication systems, including ASICs, software and electronically steered antennas for satellite, ground and airborne applications.

They are looking for a Junior Firmware Engineer with an electronics engineering background and some commercial experience to join their team in Farnborough. This is an opportunity to develop your skills in embedded C, low-level drivers and hardware/software integration , working alongside experienced engineers on advanced communication technologies.

For this Junior Firmware Engineer role, we are looking for someone with:

• A degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related discipline
• Some relevant commercial or industry experience
• Programming experience in embedded C
• Some exposure to laboratory equipment, debugging tools or hardware testing would be beneficial
• Knowledge of microcontrollers, DSPs, RTOS or wireless communications
• Basic Python or MATLAB knowledge would be a plus
• Strong problem-solving skills, a willingness to learn and the ability to work collaboratively
