Junior Finance Analyst

About the role

As a Junior Finance Analyst, the role combines traditional FP&A activities with genuine finance business partnering responsibilities. The successful individual will work closely with budget owners across the business, supporting month-end reporting, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis while helping stakeholders understand financial performance and make informed decisions.

Shifts: Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week)

Job Description:

• Own and support the month-end reporting process for internal operations.
• Monitor actual performance against budget and forecast, investigating and explaining variances.
• Act as the finance business partner for departmental stakeholders across the organisation.
• Work closely with budget owners to develop forecasts and support planning activities.
• Support the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting cycles.
• Challenge assumptions and provide insight to support business decision-making.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and become a trusted financial adviser to the functions supported.

The must haves:

• Completed ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualification, or an equivalent recognised accountancy qualification.
• Relevant finance experience, with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, management accounting and financial statements.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills, with good attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft 365, including Excel & PowerPoint
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to work with stakeholders at different levels.
• Well organised, able to manage deadlines and comfortable working across multiple priorities.
• Curious, proactive and willing to learn, challenge constructively and take ownership.
• Collaborative approach and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
