About Tresbeau

Tresbeau is a UK streetwear label founded in 2017. We're relaunching, and we're building the next chapter from the ground up: new collections, new graphics, new direction.

This is a small setup. There's no big design team and no layers of approval. If you join, your work goes on real garments that real people buy and wear.

The role

We're looking for a junior designer to help build out upcoming collections. You'd be working directly with the founder on everything from first idea to finished piece.

Day to day, this could look like:

  • Designing graphics, prints and placements for tees, hoodies and outerwear
  • Building mood boards and colour direction for each drop
  • Exploring textures, washes, trims and fabric treatments
  • Sketching garment concepts and silhouettes
  • Helping translate concepts into tech packs for manufacturers
  • Pulling together lookbook and campaign visuals

You won't be doing all of this on day one. We'll shape the work around what you're strongest at and what you want to get better at.

Who this is for

This role is aimed at people early in their design journey who want real product in their portfolio.

That might be you if:

  • You're a fashion, textiles or graphic design student (first year and up is fine)
  • You're self taught and have been designing in your own time
  • You have a genuine interest in streetwear and clothing, even without formal training

What matters to us:

  • A point of view. We'd rather see ten pieces you actually care about than fifty that are technically clean
  • Some working knowledge of Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, CLO or similar. You don't need all of them
  • Reliability. Small teams live or die on people doing what they said they'd do
  • Curiosity about how clothes are actually made, not just how they look

What you get out of it

  • Designs that go into production and into the market under a real brand
  • Full credit on the work, yours to use in your portfolio however you want
  • Direct mentorship from a founder who has run brands, agencies and product lines since 2017
  • A look behind the curtain at sourcing, manufacturing, costing and launch, which is the part design courses rarely cover
  • A reference and an ongoing relationship as the brand grows

Terms, hours and compensation are agreed at offer stage based on scope and how much time you want to commit.

How to apply

Send the following to contact.tresbeaustudios@gmail.com:

  • Your portfolio, Instagram, Behance or even a folder of screenshots. Presentation isn't the test, the work is
  • Two or three lines on what you're into right now. A brand, a designer, an era, a fabric, anything
  • Where you're based and roughly how much time you'd have each week

No CV needed. No cover letter needed.

We reply to everyone who applies.

Expected hours: 6.0 per week

Application question(s):

  • Do you have a portfolio, Instagram or folder of design work you can share?
  • Have you designed a graphic, print or garment concept that was meant to be produced, even as a personal project?
  • Are you comfortable designing within a brand direction that isn't your personal taste?
