Location: London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, Stratford
Dates: 26 & 27 September 2026
Hours: Approximately 10–12 hours per day
Pay: £13 to 13.50 per hour

Mesa Stone is looking for a reliable, energetic Junior Chef to join our team for the World Halal Food Festival.

This is a hands-on event role. You will need to be comfortable moving between different kitchen tasks rather than working on just one section.

You will be expected to:

• Prepare and cook food throughout service
• Handle and prepare fresh dough
• Fry food safely and consistently
• Chop and prepare ingredients using knives
• Use blenders and other kitchen equipment
• Assemble frybread tacos and side dishes
• Prepare sauces, toppings and garnishes
• Portion and sample food
• Restock and keep your workstation organised
• Help with cleaning and general kitchen duties
• Switch between tasks quickly during busy periods

We are looking for someone who is hard-working, flexible, calm under pressure and happy to get involved wherever needed.

Some commercial kitchen experience is preferred. Experience with dough or frying is useful but not essential if you are confident, capable and willing to learn.

Mesa Stone serves a fully halal menu. There is no religious requirement for this role; all team members simply need to follow our halal food-handling procedures.

This would particularly suit a junior chef or kitchen professional looking for event, street-food or festival experience.
