About Signalory

Signalory is an English-language publication based in Morocco, explaining changes in technology, business, work and the systems that shape everyday life. We use AI-assisted workflows and linked sources. Human judgment, clear context and transparent corrections are central to the editorial work we are building.

Your mission

Find stories worth understanding and establish whether the available evidence supports publishing them. You will help turn a promising topic into a clear, well-supported editorial brief.

What you will do

  • Monitor primary sources, official announcements, research and credible reporting across Signalory’s coverage areas.

  • Assess what changed, who is affected, why it matters and what remains uncertain.

  • Check dates, statistics, quotations and the provenance of claims; distinguish independent reporting from repeated coverage of one source.

  • Produce research briefs with source links, a proposed angle, key facts and unresolved questions.

  • Flag weak evidence, misleading headlines, duplicate stories and material legal or reputational concerns for review.

  • Work with the editor on updates, corrections and coverage relevant to different editions.

What you bring

  • Strong English reading and writing skills; academic, personal or volunteer writing is welcome.

  • Sound source evaluation, fact-checking and basic numerical reasoning.

  • Curiosity about technology, business and real-world impacts.

  • The ability to use AI critically and verify its output against original sources.

  • Clear written handoffs and reliable independent work in a remote team.

Experience with research databases, public records, datasets or another language is welcome.

What success looks like

Useful briefs with traceable evidence, clear publication recommendations and fewer unsupported claims reaching the editing stage. Quality matters more than the number of topics proposed.
