The Role We are looking for a motivated Junior Design Engineer to join our team within the lift industry. This is a great opportunity for someone with a technical or engineering background to develop their design skills, working closely with customers, architects and project teams. Full training will be provided , with the role offering excellent opportunities to gain experience across the full lift design process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with pre and post sales order, technical details including assessing access, builders work and H&S requirement's
  • Understanding, interpreting and integrating architectural and technical building drawings and information and incorporates within a coordinated working design
  • General Arrangement drawings with an awareness of timescales and deadlines in respect of customer requirements, recording design process on company software systems
  • To ensure the customer understands the General Arrangement drawings through to full approval
  • Attending design meetings to liaise with customers, architects and project designers
  • Checking company lift procurement software to ensure the requirements are fully aligned with approved drawings and specifications
  • Requesting factory drawings and checks against the approved design
  • Full training will be provided

  • Right to Work in the UK (mandatory)
  • Degree qualified or equivalent, ideally with a Mechanical Engineering background
  • Good practical understanding of AutoCAD or similar drawing software
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge or experience of building design would be an advantage
  • A practical, detail-oriented approach with a willingness to learn and develop
  • Right to Work in the UK (mandatory)
