The Role

As a Junior Cyber Security Consultant, you will be a member of the cyber security team working alongside other cyber security professionals fulfilling the role of Project Core Security as defined and agreed with the Project Security Manager on a long-standing project.

Day-to-day, you will assist, maintain and support the Security Manager as required generating security operating procedures and assisting with maintaining security risk assessment and Secure by Design artefacts for systems to support through life assurance.

Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the delivery of project security activities and acting as Project Core Security in line with programme requirements

Providing guidance on MoD and HMG security policies, standards and compliance obligations

Assisting with security risk assessments, Secure by Design activities and through-life assurance processes

Maintaining facility certification and supporting system accreditation and security assurance activities

Developing, reviewing and updating security procedures, reports and compliance documentation

Delivering security training and supporting key security roles, including MoD Custodian and Security Officer responsibilities

Essential experience of the Junior Cyber Security Consultant:
Previous experience working within security, information assurance or cyber security environments

Demonstrable experience communicating effectively and collaborating within multi-disciplinary teams

Previous experience or demonstrable experience managing workloads and delivering agreed tasks to deadlines

Prior experience working within MoD environments or a strong interest in defence security and assurance activities

Essential qualifications for the Junior Cyber Security Consultant:

STEM degree or equivalent or relevant experience

This role is 37 hours per week based at our Farnborough site and is fully on-site 5 days per week.
