Junior Creative Project Manager
About Myriad
Myriad is a creative communications agency for complex sectors. Since 1989, we have helped energy, infrastructure, technology and sustainability leaders turn complex, high-stakes work into communication people understand. We have offices in London, Houston and Abu Dhabi, and we also run SHIIFT, our e-learning brand.
Our work covers stakeholder engagement, investor communications, project visualisation, safety and behaviour change, and brand and reputation. We deliver it through film, 3D and animation, print, interactive and digital, e-learning and events, for clients including ExxonMobil, TotalEnergies, ADNOC, Woodside and Technip Energies.
The role
We are looking for a Junior Creative Project Manager to help run projects from brief to delivery across film, animation, print and digital. You will look after schedules, track budgets and keep each job running day to day, working alongside our animators, editors, film crews, writers and graphic designers.
This is not a pure admin or scheduling role. We want someone with a good creative eye who can look at a cut, a storyboard or a layout and tell us what is working and what is not. You will solve problems as they come up, keep clients confident and keep the team moving.
You will be using AI tools every day, in how we plan, write, design and produce. We want someone who is already doing this or is keen to learn fast.
- Reports to: Head of Ops / Head of Production
- Location: office based at our Old Street office, London
- Type: full time
What you'll do
- Run smaller projects yourself and support on larger ones across film, animation, print, e-learning and digital
- Help turn client briefs into clear plans, schedules and budgets
- Help build project budgets, track costs and flag risks early
- Help book freelancers, crew and suppliers for each job
- Brief and work with animators, editors, film crews, writers and graphic designers
- Review creative work at each stage and give clear, useful feedback
- Be a day-to-day contact for clients, with support from senior team members, handling feedback, amends and approvals
- Plan shoots and productions, including logistics, call sheets and risk assessments
- Solve problems quickly when plans change, without losing quality or margin
- Use AI tools to speed up planning, scripting, concept work, design and admin
- Look for better ways of working and help bring new AI tools into the team
- Keep project records up to date in our systems, including timesheets, budgets and schedules
Who we're looking for
- A good creative eye across moving image, animation and design
- A natural problem solver who stays calm under pressure and is not fazed by change
- Comfortable with numbers and keen to learn budgeting and scheduling
- Able to switch between very different projects in the same day
- Clear, direct communicator with clients and creative teams
- Organised, reliable and good at following things through to the end
- Happy to take ownership and use your initiative
- Curious, quick to learn and interested in how things are made
- Comfortable working with clients and teams in different countries and time zones
AI
AI is part of how we work at Myriad, and it will be a big part of this role. You do not need to be an expert, but you do need to want to use it.
- Already using AI tools such as Claude, ChatGPT or image and video generation tools, or keen to learn
- Interested in how AI can speed up up and streamline workflows
- Willing to test new tools, share what works and help the wider team adopt them
- Able to judge when AI output works and when it doesn't
Background
We care more about how you think and work than your job title. You will likely have one to two years' experience in a creative agency, production company or studio, or a relevant degree plus work experience. We would also like to see:
- A portfolio or examples of projects you have been involved in
- Some experience of scheduling, budgets or project tools, even at a basic level
Experience in energy, industrial or corporate communications is useful but not essential.
What we offer and how to apply
- Salary: £28,000 to £32,000 depending on experience
- Mentoring and hands-on training from senior team members
- Varied work for major international energy clients
- Exposure to film, animation, e-learning, events and print, often on the same project
- Opportunities to travel for shoots and events
- Room to grow into a senior role as the business grows
To apply, send your CV and a short note on a project you worked on and what you would do differently next time.
