Responsibilities

• Prepare a variety of light meals in accordance with established recipes and standards
• Have sole control of baking pastries, brownies and cakes for sale in the shop
• Assist daily kitchen operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to food safety regulations
• Maintain high standards of food presentation, quality, and hygiene throughout all food preparation processes
• Manage inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times
• Assist in menu planning and development to keep offerings fresh and appealing

Requirements

• Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate and guide team members
• Experience in food preparation, serving, and general kitchen operations
• Previous hospitality or restaurant experience is desirable but not needed
• Good communication skills with a friendly customer-focused approach
• Ability to work flexibly across shifts as required by the business needs
