Junior Bookkeeper
Overview
The Letting Partnership (TLP) is the UK’s leading specialist in client accounting for letting agents, helping businesses across the sector stay compliant.
We’re looking for an experienced Junior Bookkeeper to take day-to-day ownership of the core finance operations across TLP. This will be on a pro rata, part-time basis, 25 hours per week, 9.30am-2.30pm Mon-Fri.
Working closely with the TLP's Financial Controller and COO, this is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, keeps a tight grip on the detail and can be relied upon to make sure the numbers are accurate, complete and up to date.
You’ll be supporting a growing business and using a modern finance stack including Sage Accounting, GoCardless and Stripe.
The Role
- Own the day-to-day bookkeeping at TLP.
- Raise customer invoices and process supplier bills.
- Process payroll on time.
- Own the monthly close process, including bank reconciliations, accruals and cash position reporting.
- Maintain accurate reconciliations at TLP.
- Prepare payment runs for review and approval.
- Supply accurate financial data to support external audit requests.
- Provide financial information required for transfer pricing calculations.
- Work closely with TLP's Financial Controller and COO to ensure the business has accurate, timely financial information.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure records remain complete, organised and audit-ready.
Requirements
- AAT qualified, with Level 4 or MAAT preferred.
- Strong practical bookkeeping experience within a commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of accruals, bank reconciliations and intercompany accounting.
- Experience using Sage Accounting preferable.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of deadlines and deliverables.
- Strong communication skills and the confidence to work closely with senior stakeholders.
- Able to work regularly on site in Worthing, West Sussex.
Pay: £30,000.00 per year
