Job Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Junior Baker to join our vibrant team. In this role, you will assist in food production and preparation, helping to create fresh baked goods and ensuring the kitchen operates smoothly. This is an excellent opportunity for someone passionate about baking and culinary arts to develop their skills in a lively, fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing ingredients and baking a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes
• Follow recipes and food safety standards meticulously to ensure quality and hygiene
• Support the kitchen team with food preparation tasks to meet daily production goals
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace and equipment
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal results
• Help with packaging finished products for display or sale
• Adhere to all food safety regulations and health standards at all times

Qualifications

• Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or a kitchen environment is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
• Understanding of food safety practices and hygiene standards
• Experience working in a cafe or bakery setting is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude toward teamwork
• Willingness to learn new skills and grow within the role
• Barista experience is a plus

Pay: £11.00-£13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 18.0 – 24.0 per week
