Junior Accountant

Samara & Co is a small but growing accountancy practice based in Harrow on the Hill looking to hire an experienced pro-active individual who has an accounting background and some experience.

We are seeking someone who not only uses modern technology but can proactively improve and improvise with new technologies.

Key responsibilities but not solely limited to:

• Manage portfolio of clients and assist in preparing final year accounts and tax return in a timely manner

• Prepare VAT returns and submit them online

• Process monthly records and reconcile monthly balances

• Prepare Self Assessment Tax Return and submit online

• Monthly payroll preparation and submission including pension submission and advising clients on auto-enrolment

• Effective communication with clients in meeting all deadlines and ensuring their queries are answered

• Liaising with HMRC when required

• Preparing accounts and reports for landlord companies

Key skills

• ACCA/ACA/AAT part or fully qualified

• 2-3 years of accountancy practice experience

• Experience in managing client portfolio

• Experience in using accounting software as well as Xero

• MS Office skills

• Ability to work under pressure and should have an eye for details

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, Apprenticeship

Pay: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
