The role

The role holder will support the Finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, delivering timely reporting, supporting month-end activities and ensuring robust financial controls across the business.

You will be involved in all aspects of the finance function, building experience in commercial decision making and technical accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly reconciliations, including cash, balance sheet and control account reconciliations.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals, prepayments, depreciation and other month-end accounting entries.
• Monitor cashflow movements and investigate reconciling differences.
• Support the production of monthly management accounts and financial reporting packs.
• Assist with financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Maintain balance sheet controls and ensure outstanding items are resolved promptly.
• Respond to finance-related queries from internal stakeholders and provide accurate information.
• Support audits and regulatory reporting requirements by maintaining appropriate documentation.
• Contribute to finance projects, process improvements and systems enhancements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards and internal controls.

Experience & Qualifications

• AAT qualified or actively studying towards ACCA, CIMA or an equivalent qualification.
• Previous experience in a finance, accounting or bookkeeping role.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, reconciliations and month-end processes.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyse and interpret data.
• Experience using finance systems or ERP platforms is advantageous.

Pay: £32,000.00-£34,000.00 per year
