About us

At Pentex, integrity is at the heart of everything we do; from the way we work through to the products we create. Combining creative design with responsible and ethical practices, we deliver fashion solutions that are built for today and ready for the future.

Since our beginnings in East London in the 1960s, Pentex has grown into a global design and manufacturing partner. Throughout that journey, one value has remained constant: doing the right thing.

We believe in doing what’s right, putting our customers first and holding ourselves to high standards in everything we do. Every partnership we build, every garment we produce and every order we deliver reflects our commitment to working with honesty, care and integrity which is the ethos that continues to define the Pentex way.

The Role

As Junior Account Manager, you will play a key role in the day-to-day running of some of our most important customer accounts, supporting the full product journey from initial brief through to order, production and final delivery. Working closely with Sales, Design, Product Development, Merchandising, QA and our supply base, you’ll help manage the critical path, coordinate samples and approvals, and keep customers informed and engaged at every stage. You’ll be a vital link in ensuring accurate information flows between teams and customers, covering costs, specs, quantities and timelines, while resolving queries quickly and maintaining the highest standards of customer service.

This is a great opportunity to build a career in account management within a fast-paced, global fashion supplier. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to the full order lifecycle, work closely alongside experienced Senior Account Managers and Merchandisers, and develop the commercial, analytical and relationship-building skills needed to progress within the team. We’re looking for someone who is organised, proactive and keen to make a genuine impact from day one.

Main Responsibilities

  • Build strong working relationships with Senior Account Managers and Merchandisers, supporting all aspects of departmental plans and account strategy.
  • Keep internal systems accurate, up to date and fully streamlined, ensuring information is easy to track and act on.
  • Raise and manage customer purchase orders, updating internal systems accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Prepare for customer meetings, producing range sheets, status reports, and sample rails/boards to a high standard.
  • Action order sheets, carry out PO checks, and complete reconciliations to ensure accuracy across the order book.
  • Manage critical paths and liaise closely with factories, logistics, and technical teams to ensure deadlines are consistently met.
  • Analyse sales data and market trends to identify new opportunities, product gaps, and areas for growth.
  • Support the onboarding of new accounts, and attend meetings, trade shows, and client visits as required.
  • Work closely with the merchandising and production teams to protect margin and help meet commercial targets.
  • Build a strong understanding of customer requirements, ranges and calendars, acting as a reliable first point of contact for day-to-day queries.
  • Support Senior Account Managers with ad hoc reporting and analysis to help inform account and business decisions.

Your Experience

  • Proven experience in a fashion wholesale or supplier environment in a Sales or Account Management role.
  • Strong understanding of fashion manufacturing processes, costings, critical path management, and lead times.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the confidence to liaise across all levels internally and with customers.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and internal business systems, with the ability to learn new systems quickly.
  • A proactive, can-do attitude with a genuine interest in the fashion industry and a desire to build a long-term career in account management.
