Junior Account Manager

Salary: 60k base + Commission

Location: London

About: We’re hiring for a PE backed fintech company providing a client engagement, research management, and analytics platform purpose-built for capital markets. Serving both sell-side firms (banks, brokers, and independent research providers) and buy-side firms (asset managers), with core functionality spanning client relationship management, research distribution, corporate access, vendor management, and compliance reporting.

Role Responsibilities

  • Own a portfolio of roughly 10–12 customer accounts, tiered by size and complexity, with more junior Account Managers managing smaller books.
  • Drive growth within your accounts, with compensation tied to ARR growth and TCV.
  • Pass on larger cross-sell opportunities to the sales team, while still earning commission on any resulting ARR growth.
  • Work without a fixed sales quota: reward is based on account growth.
  • Be measured against KPIs including ARR retention, NPS, platform engagement, and engagement with senior stakeholders at client organisations.
  • Partner closely with a dedicated product specialist for technical configuration and training, focusing your own effort on capturing client requirements rather than executing the technical build.
  • Work in an environment with direct visibility from the CEO, who engages closely with the team.

Candidate Requirements

  • 2–3 years in a customer-facing role; typically, second or third job.
  • Familiarity with sales research and corporate access workflows.
  • Some exposure to working alongside a sales function (e.g. lead generation or deal support) although closing deals yourself isn't required.
  • Strong relevant experience selling into financial institutions.
  • Degree from a good university is preferred but not essential.
  • A consistent career history: ideally without significant gaps or a pattern of short tenures.
  • A driven and resilient individual who welcomes feedback.
  • An effective communicator with good organisational skills.
