We have a wide experience of specialist requirements gained by advising and supplying our product ranges to many architects, local authorities, universities, schools, colleges, hospitals, public utilities, private companies and other clients, over many years.

We are currently looking to recruit an enthusiastic and proactive individual to join our Lock-Tech Systems team in Swansea to work in fields of access control and automatic door systems. The role covers the installation and servicing of our access control and automatic door systems.

Lock-Tech Systems is a division of the company that specializes in access control, door entry and automatic door systems for both the domestic and commercial markets. From our offices in Swansea we service customers throughout South Wales and beyond, from the point of initial enquiry, to product specification, installation, post-installation support and servicing.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Plan and carry out quality work as part of a team or on your own to achieve a goal in an efficient, cooperative and constructive manner.
  • Ability to work unsupervised if necessary and act on own initiative when faced with technical problems.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with those around them and understand the overall goals and aims of a particular piece of work.
  • Basic awareness of health and safety issues and a duty of care towards colleagues.
  • Ability to operate a range of power and hand tools safely and efficiently.
  • Responsible for expensive pieces of machinery and hardware which need to be installed, maintained and operated correctly.
  • Clean, current UK driving license.
  • A good level of computer literacy.
  • Have experience in the installation and maintenance of access control systems, automatic door systems or other related technologies.
  • Become qualified to BS EN 16005 standard in the installation of automatic doors.
  • Pro-active and enthusiastic about learning the technical aspects of Lock-Tech System’s business.
  • Interest in electronics/electro-mechanical systems with a good understanding of the relevant subjects.
  • Competent in the English language with good numerical skills
  • Flexible with regard to hours and days of work.
  • Friendly, professional and forward thinking.
  • Availability to take part in occasional out of hours call-outs
  • Ability to work at height from ladders and scaffolding
  • Ability to identify colours for wiring purposes
  • Work in confined spaces (loft space, attics & lift shafts)
  • Lift heavy objects (batteries, ladders and scaffolding)
  • Work in all weather conditions indoors and outdoors

Schedule:

  • Mon - Fri , 0830 - 1700

Experience:

  • 2 years practical in a similar or related field
