Duties

• Prepare and cook dishes within your designated section, maintaining consistency and quality at all times
• Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards to ensure customer satisfaction
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of your work station in accordance with food safety regulations
• Assist in the training of junior kitchen staff and ensure smooth communication within the team
• Monitor stock levels and notify management of shortages or discrepancies
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure food safety compliance
• Support the overall kitchen operation during service hours by serving dishes promptly and efficiently

Skills

• Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a busy restaurant or hotel environment
• Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, meal preparation, and presentation standards
• Excellent understanding of food safety protocols and hygiene practices
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and front-of-house staff
• Kitchen experience that demonstrates versatility across different stations is preferred
• Passion for culinary arts with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement

Pay: £14.00-£18.00 per hour
