Are you a hands-on hospitality professional with experience in both kitchen operations and housekeeping supervision?

We are looking for a reliable, motivated and versatile Breakfast Chef / Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team across two boutique guest houses in Bath: The Ayrlington and Oldfields House.

This is primarily a Housekeeping Supervisor position, with one day per week dedicated to covering the Breakfast Chef's day off. The successful candidate must be confident preparing and cooking breakfast independently while also demonstrating strong housekeeping leadership and organisational skills.

Key Responsibilities

Breakfast Chef – One Day Per Week

• Covering the Breakfast Chef's scheduled day off.
• Preparing and cooking high-quality breakfasts to our established standards.
• Independently managing breakfast preparation and service.
• Maintaining excellent food hygiene, safety and kitchen cleanliness standards.
• Monitoring stock levels and ensuring smooth kitchen operations.

Housekeeping Supervisor – Remaining Working Days

• Supervising and coordinating housekeeping operations across both properties.
• Inspecting guest rooms and public areas to ensure consistently high standards.
• Organising daily room allocations, cleaning schedules and staff duties.
• Supporting the housekeeping team with room cleaning and servicing when required.
• Monitoring linen, cleaning supplies and housekeeping stock.
• Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring rooms are ready for guest arrivals.
• Working closely with management to maintain operational efficiency and guest satisfaction.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Sous Chef or Chef de Partie.
• Previous housekeeping or supervisory experience within hospitality.
• Ability to independently prepare and manage breakfast service.
• Strong leadership, organisational and time-management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
• Flexibility to work across departments and both properties.
• A positive attitude, reliability and the ability to lead by example.
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety procedures.
• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential.

Working Hours

5 days per week, including weekends on a rota basis.

• 1 day per week: Breakfast Chef duties, covering the regular chef's day off.
• 4 days per week: Housekeeping Supervisor duties across both properties.
• Working hours will vary according to operational requirements and the weekly rota.
