About the Role

Join our January 2027 early careers intake as a Graduate / Junior Mechanical Building Services Engineer and become part of the Xcellerate cohort, our dedicated early careers development programme.

Based at our head office in Godalming, Surrey, you'll work alongside experienced engineers on Life Sciences and Pharmaceutical projects. From day one you'll gain hands-on design experience, work within multidisciplinary project teams, and build your technical and professional skills with structured support.

This is a permanent, full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. The role is predominantly office-based, with occasional site visits. A full, valid driving licence would therefore be an advantage but is not essential.

What you'll do

• Produce mechanical designs, calculations, drawings, schedules and specifications
• Help take projects from concept to detailed design
• Collaborate with engineers, designers and wider project teams
• Support procurement, estimating and cost planning with technical input
• Get out on site for surveys, design queries and quality checks
• Help keep our designs high quality, compliant and safe, and find ways to improve how we work

You will be

• A graduate in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline
• Experienced in the workplace having spent at least a year working in an engineering role on industrial placement or since graduating
• Familiar with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or Cymap
• A problem-solver who can explain complex ideas simply
• Proactive, with bags of initiative and enjoy working as part of a team
• Keen to keep learning and progress towards chartership

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from £30,000 to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer an attractive benefits package, including:
