JUNIOR SOUS CHEF – PREMIUM NEW OPENING – PADDINGTON, LONDON

Up to £18 per hour | Full-Time | Italian & Mediterranean Restaurant

An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and ambitious Junior Sous Chef to join the opening team of a brand-new Italian & Mediterranean restaurant in Paddington.

We are building a serious kitchen team around quality, consistency, strong technique and professional standards. This role would suit a highly skilled Junior Sous Chef or experienced Chef de Partie ready to take the next step in their career.

You will be working in a high-volume, fast-paced kitchen, delivering refined Italian and Mediterranean food with a strong focus on fresh ingredients, precise execution and excellent presentation.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• strong experience in premium restaurants, fine dining or high-quality hospitality operations
• proven experience working in a very busy kitchen environment
• excellent knife skills, cooking techniques and attention to detail
• strong understanding of food quality, consistency and presentation
• confidence running a section independently during demanding services
• good organisation, preparation and time-management skills
• ability to support and guide junior chefs
• strong understanding of food safety, hygiene and kitchen standards
• passion for Italian and Mediterranean cuisine
• calm, professional and reliable attitude
• ambition to progress into a more senior kitchen role
• full right to work in the UK

THE ROLE

Working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef, you will play an important role in the day-to-day operation of the kitchen.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining high food standards, managing your section through busy services, supporting junior chefs, monitoring preparation and mise en place, assisting with stock and waste control and helping create a disciplined, organised and professional kitchen environment.

We are looking for chefs who understand that great kitchens are built on consistency, preparation, teamwork and attention to detail.

WHAT WE OFFER

Up to £18 per hour, depending on experience and ability.

This is a full-time position within an ambitious new restaurant opening, with the opportunity to join the business at an early stage and grow with the team.
