Role Description The Entry-Level ESL Online Tutor (Ref:EDU05/26) is a full-time remote role focused on teaching English to learners of varying ages and proficiency levels through virtual platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering interactive online lessons, following provided curricula or lesson plans, and adapting teaching methods to meet individual learner needs. The tutor will conduct one-on-one or small group sessions, provide constructive feedback on speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills, and monitor learner progress over time. Additional tasks include maintaining accurate lesson records, communicating clearly with learners and, where applicable, their caregivers, and participating in training or coaching sessions offered by eTEFL Training & Recruitment. The role requires consistent availability, reliable online presence, and a professional, learner-centered approach to virtual teaching.
Qualifications
- Comfort with using video conferencing tools and online learning platforms.
- Ability to create a supportive, inclusive, and culturally sensitive learning environment.
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and a quiet, professional workspace.
- Prior experience working with learners, in any educational or mentoring capacity, is an advantage but not mandatory.
