Chef de Partie/Junior Sous Chef

An opportunity has arisen for the position of CDP/Junior Sous Chef in the hotel's Main Kitchen. This position will be for 5 days out of 7 including weekends and bank holidays. We are seeking a creative individual with a sense of humour and adventure and keen to develop their ideas in the various outlets with the hotel.

Duties and responsibilities;

• To assist the Head Chef in planning and preparing food for service and run the kitchen in his absence.
• To be creative with the compilation of menu planning for Restaurant , Courtyard Bistro, Weddings and Events, changing with taste and trends.
• To supervise and develop staff within the department.
• To be fully conversant with the menu to ensure quality and consistency at all times and controlling wastage.
• To ensure menus and dishes are costed and profitable.
• To ensure that deliveries are checked at point of delivery and stored appropriately without delay.
• To ensure that all food hygiene records are maintained to the required standard (on a daily basis) in accordance with Food Hygiene Regulations with a view to improving ratings.
• To ensure that Company Policy and Departmental Objectives are followed and upheld at all times.
• To ensure that all appliances, fixtures and fittings are safe and in working order and report any defects to the Head Chef/maintenance
• To be fully aware of Hotels Fire Safety Procedures, Health & Safety and Food Hygiene Regs.

Pay: From £26,000.00 per year
