About the Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Café Cook to join our team at Coton Orchard Garden Centre. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to start or develop their career in catering, with training and support provided.

You don't need to have years of kitchen experience, but you should have a positive attitude, a willingness to learn and an interest in preparing good-quality food. You'll work alongside the existing kitchen team to help deliver a great experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation and cooking of a range of café dishes, including breakfasts, lunches and light bites.
• Support the kitchen team with daily food preparation and service.
• Help ensure food is prepared and presented to a high standard.
• Maintain a clean, tidy and organised kitchen.
• Follow food hygiene, health and safety procedures at all times.
• Ensure ingredients are stored correctly and kitchen equipment is used safely.
• Work as part of a team to keep the kitchen running smoothly during busy periods.
• Help with stock rotation and general kitchen duties as required.

About You

• A genuine interest in food and cooking.
• A positive, hardworking attitude and willingness to learn.
• Reliable, organised and able to work well as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a busy environment.
• Good attention to detail and an understanding of the importance of cleanliness.
• Previous kitchen or catering experience would be an advantage but is not essential, as training will be provided.
