Assistant/Junior Quantity Surveyor- Social Housing-Roofing

2 Junior / Assistant Quantity Surveyors to join our growing team, delivering large-scale social housing roofing works across Berkshire / Hampshire and surrounding areas.

The Role

Based out of our Newbury office, with regular site visits, you will support the commercial management of multiple roofing projects within the social housing sector.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assisting with subcontractor procurement, including tender enquiries, analysis, and levelling (roofing & scaffolding packages)
• Supporting monthly applications and valuations
• Assisting in the preparation of CVRs (Cost Value Reconciliations)
• Supporting subcontractor payment processes
• Working closely with senior QS and project teams
• Developing client-facing and commercial skills

Requirements

• Previous experience in a QS / Assistant QS role (essential)
• Ideally some exposure to social housing, including:
• National Federation Schedule of Rates (Nat Fed)
• Schedule of Rates (SOR)
• Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying (or related discipline)
• Good working knowledge of Excel
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Interest in roofing and/or scaffolding packages (desirable)

Essential Criteria

• Full UK Driving Licence and own vehicle (mileage paid)
• CSCS Card (or currently applying)
• Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
